Pink Moon - Traditionally stricken with Partly Cloudy vibes, the April Moon is likely to be accompanied by the fall of rain or snow.
In the wild olden times, it was switching gears in April, too. Spring has almost always sprung and when those rains start to saturate the ground, flowering plants start to sprout out.
Flowers are first foods for many animals emerging after hibernating and are on the search for food. The Pink Moon is named after Moss Phlox, Phlox sublata, which grows and blooms a carpet of pink flowers that attract butterflies.

Full Moon Names
When the Colonists settled North America, the Native Tribes already had names for the Full Moons. The Wolf Moon was due to the inevitable cries of the wolves signaling in January for centuries before the whites ever found their way to America's shores.
The Farmer's Almanac was founded in 1818 and adopted the Native American full moon names. NASA and the American Astronomical Society use these names, too.
